A Note to our Potential Sponsors

Thank you for considering sponsoring the Pittsburgh LAN Coalition (“Pittco”). Since its inception, Pittco has had the vision of hosting the largest and best LAN party in western Pennsylvania, centered in the greater Pittsburgh area. Our team of seasoned, expert LAN party organizers ensures smooth operations and actively recruits more staff so that we can advance our cause and grow.

We are consistently trying to improve the LAN party experience for our attendees. In order to do this, we need ever increasing participation by gamers. We do our best to throw the most entertaining party possible by not only having tournaments for the most popular games and their modifications, but also by keeping the gamers involved with game related contests throughout the event such as constantly running tournaments via Pittco Roulette, Karaoke, relay races, and other team activities.

In order to make the jump in attendance, however, we need to be able to offer prizes to our attendees. Computer games are not much different than any other competitive activity. Prizes are what draw the crowd. Iron Storm PURE was an experiment in which we sought very little in the way of prizes from our sponsors. Our attendance was down, but by no means poor–primarily our core audience of approximately 80 gamers came. However, we like big LANs. Our core audience likes big LANs. So, we need your help in making Pittco the biggest LAN party organization possible!

We ask that you consider donating whatever prize material you possibly can in order to help us draw a crowd and grow. We know that it is sometimes hard to justify donating without guaranteed return. We can’t make guarantees of our attendees’ habits, but we are willing to share informally collected demographics and our observations of our attendees.

So, How can your company sponsor Pittco and support the LAN party community in the greater Pittsburgh area? In exchange for financial support, contribution of products to be used a prizes for both attendance and tournaments, and/or cross-promotion, Pittco can

✔ Display a logo and/or banner on our web site, www.pittco.org,
✔ Post banners, signs, easels, and other marketing collateral at the event,
✔ Mention the company in announcements sent to our more than 900 member list,
✔ Grant naming rights for an event, e.g. “the tournament” or “ tournament sponsored by ”,
✔ Display advertisement in/on possible attendee packet/materials/bulletin,
✔ Please feel free to suggest anything else, we’re open-minded.

Thank you for taking interest in Pittco. With your support, we believe we will grow to become a huge part and a driving force in the computer gaming community!
