MechWarriorOnline

I was 11 years old when I first overheated a computer into shutting off. The cause: MechWarrior 2! It was very amusing  how my computer seemed to act the same way the Mech would. The harder I ran my comp the quicker it crashed and anyone who has ever played a MechWarrior game knows the Mech’s act the same way. The memories of me playing that game in my youth have never left me.  Years later I began playing games like Armored Core and Zone of the Enders. I even dabbled in the Front Mission series but none made me feel the same way my original mech game did.

2011: My prays may have finally been answered. Piranha Games is proud to bring you the next instalment in the MechWarrior® franchise. This is the first time in a LONG time that I’m actually excited for a Mech game. Piranha plans on using the popular Free2Play business model to fund the game and if you’ve played League of Legends or Heroes of Newerth you’ll know how successful this model can be. Not much is available in the form of Media other a few pictures showcasing some of the Mechs but I have a feeling some more will soon be on its way.

If you have an opportunity head over to their website and register to reserve your Pilots name. They’ll also use this to gauge interest in the game. All I know is that I made sure to lock down ‘saberwolf’ before anyone else could!
